Our specialist knowledge of fashion is based on many years of experience. Back in 1984, Bernhard Wegmann and Ulrich Büssing founded a fashion store at Bremer Tor in Vechta.
At that time, as a men's specialist, the range included the latest fashion for men. Just 7 years later, in 1991, the range was expanded to include women's fashion. The women's and men's specialist was born.
The larger range naturally required more space, which is why a conversion and extension was carried out in 1994, resulting in a larger area for the women's department. Since then, the total sales area for women's and men's fashion has extended to over 550 square meters.
When Bernhard Wegmann became the sole owner in 2000, the name "Wegmann Damen- und Herrenmode" (Wegmann ladies' and men's fashion) was created, which is still used today.
Since then, Wegmann Damen- und Herrenmode has been offering up-to-date and fashionable clothing for him and her.
In 2007, the 200 square meter W1 store was opened on Große Straße in Vechta. The focus here is on young fashion: fashion for young men.
In 2011, W1 for Women was opened - also on Grosse Strasse in Vechta. Here, too, the focus is on young fashion, but as the name suggests: fashion for young women.
Extensive renovation work in 2012 increased the size of W1 Men & Women to over 500 square meters. More space meant that more international fashion labels were added.
