EG Wittmund has been supplying the town of Wittmund with electricity since 1922. Thanks to its own electricity grid and purchasing on the free energy markets, EG Wittmund is able to offer moderate energy prices. Its customers include private households, companies and public authorities. However, electricity and natural gas can also be purchased from EG Wittmund outside its own grid area.
As a cooperative, EG Wittmund has been supported by its members since its foundation.
In addition to energy supply, EG Wittmund is also active in the field of electromobility. The energy cooperative currently maintains 13 publicly accessible charging points for electric vehicles at central locations in Wittmund and Carolinensiel. EG Wittmund also offers an installation check and a charging tariff for electromobility.
EG Wittmund is happy to support private households and small businesses with the purchase of a new heating system with its EG Wärme product.
EG Wittmund also offers various services in the area of energy building consulting and issues energy certificates, among other things.
