Annotations:
The Oldenburg Aerial Photography Archive (OLAR) is a partner with a vision and overview for all those who rely on support, particularly in the form of high-quality aerial photography, to fulfill their tasks. The company, which has been based in the city of Oldenburg for many years, has earned a reputation as a reliable and highly professional business partner for industry, trade, commerce and federal, state and municipal authorities and associations.

Wherever sophisticated image material is required, OLAR comes into play. This ranges from current photo reportage for the press to project photography for companies in a wide range of industries and customized aerial photo series for public administration bodies with a focus on local authorities and public-law special-purpose associations for land and water as well as state authorities for construction, building and property management in particular. OLAR aerial photographs, especially of industrial plants, large construction sites, cities and municipalities, etc., are used in a variety of ways as a working and presentation tool for urban and development planning, traffic monitoring and management planning, for monitoring and recording environmental protection measures (e.g. dyke and coastal protection structures) or recording landscape changes, tourism advertising or scientific, archaeological and geographical surveys. OLAR has been able to demonstrate its capabilities at major public events with large slides measuring 5.50 m in height.

The cost-effective production of true-to-scale vertical images should be emphasized, which have met with sustained interest, particularly from municipal planning authorities and planning offices in the business sector. Image compositions in the combination of vertical and oblique images always provide a comprehensive perspective of the same project or spatial area. This process makes it possible, for example, to visualize topographical maps in a true-to-life manner. OLAR's production and services also include the complete production of detailed aerial films from oblique and vertical perspectives.

OLAR, which flies with an aircraft specially equipped for aerial photography, uses the same special aerial cameras (Linhof Aero Technika 45 EL and others) for large-format photography that NASA used to equip its spacecraft with.

This analog and digital large-format photography offers outstanding resolution and a wealth of detail. The original recording format of the Linhof camera, for example, is the second largest used in analog aerial photography and corresponds to image data information with a volume of approx. 700 million pixels per individual image. These images are therefore very well suited for use, especially when color enlargements in square meter size are required. Customers in business, but also in the public sector, can optimally realize their communication ideas with OLAR large photos in professional framing with lamination and quality-enhancing surface sealing or large slides with perfect illumination and thus achieve extraordinary attention again and again.

In addition to these productive core tasks, OLAR is also an area supplier for large photo presentations using stenter frame technology, which is a patented presentation technique of a special kind. This technology promises individual solutions for individual customer requirements. It is the eye-catching dimension for use at major events, trade fairs and the like. It also makes the use of large photos and large slides easier and at the same time more effective in advertising than ever before.

The OLAR archive contains more than 72,000 aerial and NP photographs from various regions of Lower Saxony and other German states as well as from other EU countries (mainly Belgium and the Netherlands), and is constantly being updated. In addition, OLAR maintains national and international cooperations with other leading aerial photography companies and aerial photographers as well as with a German remote sensing data company. This makes it possible to obtain image material at short notice from these areas, including satellite images.

OLAR is technically in a position to carry out image flight orders throughout Europe.
