Technology usage:

Grahneis GmbH advises its customers on the choice of suitable base materials and additives: this results in elastomer compounds that are highly damping, particularly abrasion-resistant, electrically conductive, resistant to environmental influences or resistant to a wide range of chemicals. There are no limits to the variety. Depending on the formulation used, the elastomers (such as EPDM, NBR, H-NBR, FKM / FPM, silicone, NR, SBR, butyl, ECO, CR, CSM fluorosilicone and many more) combine several of these properties. The desired color can be defined, as can the rubber hardness, which can be set to values between around 25° Shore A and 95° Shore D, depending on the base material used.

Know-how:

Standard-compliant mixtures and adapted production processes are also available for the food, pharmaceutical and drinking water sectors. Each specialist area has its own rules and Grahneis GmbH knows (almost) all of them. Depending on the subsequent area of application, the articles produced comply with the recommendations of the German Federal Institute for Consumer Health Protection (BgVV) as well as the regulations of the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the guidelines of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW and KTW / W 270). It is particularly noteworthy that Grahneis GmbH has been a qualified system supplier for the aerospace industry since 2021/2022. Large-volume membranes for satellite tanks are manufactured for this purpose.
