The public limited company REEDEREI NORDEN FRISIA is a service company founded in 1871 with the main objective of year-round island supply (transportation of passengers and freight of all kinds) to the islands of Norderney and Juist. The company mainly operates combined passenger/vehicle passenger ships (to Norderney with up to 60 parking spaces) and passenger ships to the island of Juist. The ships meet the highest national and international safety standards and are certified in accordance with the international ISM Code. Special trips to attractive excursion destinations (island tours, seal banks, fishing villages) are offered from Norderney, Norddeich and Greetsiel between April and October. Ships can also be chartered for company parties, weddings, anniversaries and other events. Burials at sea from Norddeich or Norderney round off the offer. Two RoRo-capable cargo ships are available for general cargo transfers to the island of Juist or special and heavy goods transportation. In addition to the ferry service to the island of Juist and the island of Wangerooge, a flight connection is offered according to a fixed flight schedule as well as charter flights to the other East Frisian islands and Helgoland. More than 6,000 passenger cars traveling to the islands can be parked in the shipping company's own FRISIA parking lots. There is a regular shuttle bus service from the parking lots to the ferry terminals.
