Interdisciplinary research institute representing the entire spectrum of environmental research from the microscopic to the macroscopic level. Molecular genetic processes of the environmental relationship of living organisms, as well as macroscopic observations of populations and ecosystems and, building on this, the development of biocompatible products and processes are researched in the departments and united in new structures of cooperation in the interdisciplinary research focal points. The objectives of the UFT Center are the interdisciplinary research of environmentally relevant chemical, biological, ecological and process engineering processes, the implementation of environmental research and environmental technology development projects, the provision of additional interdisciplinary and environmentally relevant teaching, the further training of specialists, the promotion of the interdisciplinary scientific work of all members of the Center, young scientists and the further qualification of scientific staff.
