Five northern German states - one maritime cluster:
Shipbuilding, suppliers, marine technology, shipping, offshore and more: the maritime industry has many facets and enormous future potential.
The Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN) was founded in 2011 to strengthen and promote cooperation in the northern German maritime industry. Initially, the states of Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein worked together in the cross-state cluster, but Bremen and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have also been involved since September 2014.
The Maritime Cluster Northern Germany gives the maritime industry a voice. The cluster organizes a bundling of the wide-ranging competencies of business, science and politics. It also creates platforms for dialog between the players and promotes interfaces with other sectors.
Innovative, technology-oriented and forward-looking.
