The Mobile Research Center (MRC) was established in 2005 as a central scientific institution of the University of Bremen Research and Transfer Institution of the State of Bremen. The aim of the MRC was to coordinate and network the work of 24 research groups at Bremen's universities in the fields of computer science, electrical engineering, communications technology, economics and industrial design. The interaction of this efficient research network offered optimal conditions for the development of customized high-tech solutions for business and industry as well as for the participation in and implementation of numerous publicly funded research and development projects.
