Some time ago, we converted our prefabricated cabin production to clocked flow production in line with lean construction principles.
Today, the cabins are therefore produced faster, more uniformly, more cost-effectively and to a higher quality than with conventional prefabricated cabin production at a fixed location.
The cabins are manufactured on a 96 m long, 10 m wide flowline, which runs at a speed of 3.5 mm/s. The cabins are produced in 22 precisely defined cycles. In 22 cycles, it is precisely defined which component has to be assembled when. In this way, a fully assembled cabin can leave the flowline every 20 minutes.
